My company has less than 10 employees, can I hire international candidates?


Yes, yes, and yes. The only requirement for a company to qualify for H1B working visa sponsorship is an EIN number. Of course a larger company with more employees and higher revenues will help the H1B application to get approved, but in terms of qualification, your company only needs to be a registered firm in the US.




How do I know when it is legal for international candidates to work?


There are many different statuses that international candidates can legally work under, such as CPT, OPT, H1B, L1, and so on. One way to verify whether your candidate is legal to work or not is by using the e-verification program the USCIS(link to page) website. They provide a free program for any company to enroll in.
